Nature's Narrative

Telling the story of our planet

One and only entity that governs the whole universe is Nature. Some have personified Nature as Almighty who is omnipotent and omnipresent. I endearingly prefer to call Mother Nature who is caring and benevolent. She takes care of and nourishes us all.

As a member of the great family, we must respect and care for every element of Mother Nature. Felling trees causes habitat destruction, ultimately leading to a big and irrevocable destruction. It needs to be managed scientifically to keep a harmonious equilibrium.

Here comes the LiFE, which is Lifestyle for Environment.

I endeavour to create impactful, quality writing pieces to instigate the thought process. It is how I want to contribute my bit to the social and environmental cause.

Come, embark on the journey with me. You will enjoy it, I am sure.

Special Friendship day

Observing Friendship Day is to remember and strengthen the bond that most people tag as sacred. The oft-repeated quote A friend in need is a friend indeed shows the typical mindset. It conveys a probable message that those who couldn’t help due to unavoidable circumstances are not friends. What a thought! (Psychology Today)

Everything comes with a cost

Everything comes with a price. It isn’t necessarily money. It can be anything, ranging from companionship and spending time together to togetherness and the individual’s utility. A few may disagree, but their thought process must still be respected.

Friendship is One-way?

Relationships can be blissful, provided there are fewer expectations and a lot of unconditional affection. Nevertheless, the “unconditional” needs to be reciprocal. It can’t be a “one-way traffic”. Isn’t it? What say?

The mantra

The bartering is intrinsic. Quid pro quo is the mantra of Nature. The reciprocity keeps the flame alive. It is like the spirit in a lamp that provides the necessary fuel through a wick to produce a flame. A lit lamp enables one to see in the darkness. It is true of any kind of relationship.

It is always rewarding to sit silently and have a monologue while watching Nature. Friendship doesn’t restrict people in any way and allows partners to grow and evolve independently. (AI)

Friendship changing?

Like other relationships, the meaning and purpose of friendship are changing fast. Mere enjoyment and merry-making are becoming prominent. For this, people seek companions. The company does not necessarily have to be permanent or stable. The element of seriousness is waning.

It would be a good thing if what has been stated in the above paragraph proves to be wrong. Nevertheless, it seems that things are heading in that direction. The reason is the flexibility of friendship, which is often compared to other, more rigid and traditional relationships.

A father (progressive-minded ones) prefers to call himself a friend of his son. In the case of a daughter, the situation becomes conditional. Similarly, a husband garrulously calls himself a friend of his wife and vice versa. The actual is different.

Thinking out loud. Things need to be reciprocated.

Ego in relation

The inflated ego comes in the way. A caring husband or wife is the preferred choice. Here comes the expectation. Both want to be cared for and loved, which is perfectly all right. As said earlier, everything needs to be reciprocated. Unilateral expectations lead to frustration.

Gradual growth

The element of friendship is intrinsic in a nuptial bond. The need is to recognise and nurture it. It takes a lot of effort and pain to raise a sapling. A nuptial relationship is something that gradually grows and matures. It becomes strong like a clay pot that becomes strong after firing in a kiln. The kiln is a difficult situation which tests endurance, perseverance and tolerance.

Change is natural

Change is inevitable. It is the law of life. Like everything, relationships change too. It is natural and there is no harm in it. For better survival, adjustments and recalibration are desirable. Though it is up to the person, adjusting according to changing situations gives an improved chance to cope with any impending emotional trauma or any difficulty.

For better survival, adjustments and recalibration are desirable. Be happy and contented
