Nature's Narrative

Telling the story of our planet

One and only entity that governs the whole universe is Nature. Some have personified Nature as Almighty who is omnipotent and omnipresent. I endearingly prefer to call Mother Nature who is caring and benevolent. She takes care of and nourishes us all.

As a member of the great family, we must respect and care for every element of Mother Nature. Felling trees causes habitat destruction, ultimately leading to a big and irrevocable destruction. It needs to be managed scientifically to keep a harmonious equilibrium.

Here comes the LiFE, which is Lifestyle for Environment.

I endeavour to create impactful, quality writing pieces to instigate the thought process. It is how I want to contribute my bit to the social and environmental cause.

Come, embark on the journey with me. You will enjoy it, I am sure.

Unconventional Holidays: Embracing Solitude in Nature and Historical Wonders

Daily writing prompt
How do you celebrate holidays?

Holidays evoke excitement and offer a much-needed break, enhancing confidence and offering respite. A preference for spontaneous, peaceful getaways and a deep connection with nature is clear. Nature exploration, historical site visits, and photography are key holiday pursuits, fostering introspection and rejuvenation. Socializing takes a back seat to solitary immersion in natural and historical settings.

Holidays! Merely mentioning them ignites a wave of excitement. Following hectic workdays brimming with activity, or the completion of a challenging and monotonous task, taking a break provides immense joy and a much-needed respite. The feeling of accomplishment builds confidence, which is enhanced by the refreshing experience of a holiday.

Holiday planning is not my strong suit. I relish spontaneous and carefree vacations. Defying all conventions, I wish to sleep undisturbed and without objections. After a restful sleep, a bath provides a sense of rejuvenation. While food isn’t a priority, it’s natural to crave a bite after freshening up. I prefer to spend my time independently, without anyone else’s participation.

Long holidays are perfect for a drive to less frequented or lesser-known destinations, ideally in a secluded spot. Exploring woodlands or naturally stunning locales sprinkled with water bodies and abundant silence offers a serene atmosphere. The natural symphony of insects and birds against a tranquil backdrop provides blissful peace. My car seems overjoyed, granting me a soul-satisfying journey along verdant roads, highways, and expressways. The destination loses its importance when the journey itself is carefree and filled with joy.

Company is desirable but not essential. A peaceful soul and an unburdened mind allow enjoyment. The presence of like-minded individuals or soulmates enhances the silent conversation with nature’s musical tones and the invisible yet reassuring support. Reclining on a carpet of green grass, hearing the gentle, melodic babble of a stream, and watching vagabond clouds endlessly sketching and resketching shapes against the blue canvas invites imagination and introspection.

A holiday serves as a brief respite from the daily grind. It should be relished, occasionally to excess, yet within the bounds of social decorum. My holidays are neither lavish nor ostentatious. I eschew the allure of opulent eateries and the consumption of intoxicants. Instead, I seek intoxication through a profound connection with nature. Holidays give me the chance to indulge my passion for capturing delightful photographs.

Additionally, to the aforementioned aspects, holidays give me a chance to explore. Being close to nature is a priority for me. I also have a fondness for history. Visiting historical sites and ruins allows me to ponder and contemplate the lives of past eras. Attentively listening to the whispers of the stones and pillars reveals a completely new perspective. It’s astonishing to think about the people who inhabited those places many years ago.

While socializing can be enjoyable during a holiday, my preference lies in discovering new locales, taking photographs, basking in the poetic murmurs of leaves in the breeze, and interacting with the stones, domes, and minarets. The delicate chime of temple bells and the melodic chanting of hymns offer a truly revitalizing experience.

This is how I would like to spend my time during the holidays.
