Nature's Narrative

Telling the story of our planet

One and only entity that governs the whole universe is Nature. Some have personified Nature as Almighty who is omnipotent and omnipresent. I endearingly prefer to call Mother Nature who is caring and benevolent. She takes care of and nourishes us all.

As a member of the great family, we must respect and care for every element of Mother Nature. Felling trees causes habitat destruction, ultimately leading to a big and irrevocable destruction. It needs to be managed scientifically to keep a harmonious equilibrium.

Here comes the LiFE, which is Lifestyle for Environment.

I endeavour to create impactful, quality writing pieces to instigate the thought process. It is how I want to contribute my bit to the social and environmental cause.

Come, embark on the journey with me. You will enjoy it, I am sure.

Adapting to COVID-19: Lessons Learned in Challenging Times

How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

The COVID-19 pandemic, beginning in January 2020 in India, revealed both the resilience and selfishness of individuals. Amidst fear and misinformation, efforts to undermine governmental response were rampant, contributing to public panic. Still, despite the adverse circumstances, citizens demonstrated perseverance by adhering to safety protocols and getting vaccinated. The pandemic prompted long journeys home for many, exacerbated by political panic-mongering. As India reflects on the challenging period, it recognizes the strength and unity of its people, who overcame adversity together. The experience serves as a powerful reminder of collective ability and the lessons learned during difficult times.

The days were horrendous. Terrified people were trying to save their lives. Since its start in January 2020, when the first case was reported in India, the COVID-19 pandemic, also known as the coronavirus pandemic, has been a cause of grave concern.

It showed many things. It showed how selfish people, driven by parochial gains, can behave insensibly and go to any extent to demean the government, their caliber and also how far they can go to shake public confidence. Those who did not align with the government played a role in spreading an atmosphere of suspicion and fear, which undermined the country and its efforts to combat the pandemic.

From spreading false and fabricated news about floating cadavers in rivers to creating a shortage of Oxygen, they did not leave any stone unturned to jeopardize the efforts made by the scientific community to develop a vaccine and its administration to people. The devilish forces went overboard to make it happen. The negative and destructive forces were annihilated. They fell flat on their faces. It was the worst time, but it was the best time.

It showed the perseverance and grit of the people. They stayed indoors for months, kept observing social distancing, kept themselves sanitized and wore masks. They observed protocols, and despite heavy negativity by selfish elements, they got themselves vaccinated.

The horrific situation was aggravated when innocent people were made to evacuate from their workplace by rumour-mongering. They traveled long distances to reach their home in the village where they lived. It was the pinnacle of callousness of political parties who wanted to make things worst by creating panic. They did not succeed.

After five years, when the nation has come out of difficult days, it is time to reminisce about those days and analyse the situation afresh. Each one of us in the country needs to cogitate about the hard times when we lost our loved ones but did not give up. People did not fall prey to the sinister designs of miscreants. They became a solid condensed force, and setting aside negativity and falsehood took the challenge head-on, fought back and annihilated the dreaded menace. Eulogies to the great people!

During those times, I wrote a few blogs on the topic. The links to those articles are given below for ready use. My readers may like to go through those articles. Here is the list:

Revisiting those times and refreshing them is also a means of learning and evolving. Difficult times teach us differently, but the lesson they teach becomes engraved and encourages people to be cautious, informed and alert. It is the time when we recognise our potential and abilities. India is a land of determined, hard-working and committed people. They believe in themselves and are confident. They are not arrogant and haughty but humble, down-to-earth people who are always eager to learn and move ahead.

United we Stand, Divided we fall.

It comes from our heart and we firmly believe it.
