Nature's Narrative

Telling the story of our planet

One and only entity that governs the whole universe is Nature. Some have personified Nature as Almighty who is omnipotent and omnipresent. I endearingly prefer to call Mother Nature who is caring and benevolent. She takes care of and nourishes us all.

As a member of the great family, we must respect and care for every element of Mother Nature. Felling trees causes habitat destruction, ultimately leading to a big and irrevocable destruction. It needs to be managed scientifically to keep a harmonious equilibrium.

Here comes the LiFE, which is Lifestyle for Environment.

I endeavour to create impactful, quality writing pieces to instigate the thought process. It is how I want to contribute my bit to the social and environmental cause.

Come, embark on the journey with me. You will enjoy it, I am sure.

Why You Can’t Relive Life’s Moments

The piece contemplates the impossibility of reliving any moment in life, arguing that life’s experiences are unique and unidirectional. It stresses the importance of embracing the now rather than longing for the past, presenting a philosophical viewpoint on the nature of existence and discovery, with science as a systematic tool for understanding life.

Is there an age or year of your life you would re-live?

In a living world, there is nothing to be repeated. Even the genetic code that determines the course of life can’t be repeated. Aside from basic codes that direct and carry out essential life tasks, no other code is repeated. This is why there are diversity in myriads of living forms. It is impossible to have a moment repeated in our life, so, the answer to the prompt is a big no, absolutely not. Reliving a moment or age is nothing but a mirage which lures and pushes one to follow without any rhyme or reason. Running behind a thing which is nothing, but a misnomer is like running in futility. One must understand that it is not a wise idea.

Supreme Soul Knows Everything

Why should consider myself a smart guy who simply wishes to live and re-live a moment so that I can pull on my life ad nauseam without ending it? Is it not like befooling the Supreme Soul who knows everything about me and makes me dance to His tune? I prove myself dumb, like a donkey, while trying to portray myself as smart. It is a ridiculous idea to repeat a particular moment of life. Life and its happenings are unidirectional and can’t be repeated. It is not a human creation which is changeable until produced as per wish. Neither it is like passing an examination in multiple attempts, though one can have options but that too is not like “re-living” or “revisiting” that moment.

Now Is Important

It is the beauty of life. Moments come as a surprise and take us by storm. It flashes and, in a spur of seconds, vanishes by the time one realizes. What is important is the current moment, good or not-so-good; I need to enjoy each moment so it will not repeat itself. It is like a running stream which keeps on moving; My aim needs to be to have a meaningful and king-size life, not elongated and artificially outstretched. A short but active life with manageable worries is desirable instead of a long, monotonous and monochromatic life, full of inaction and self-obsession. I don’t have the choice to choose incidents of my life, though I can plan them and execute them. It is manageably unpredictable; we term it a calculated risk.

The Controlling Force

Our life is controlled by the unseen but omnipresent force which knows when to let loose or when to tighten the reigns. From the beginning, when one starts one’s life, till the time of kicking the bucket, life is full of activities and tests. Some fail their test, while some pass it with distinction. The result of the test depends upon the circumstances and the conditions of life. Whatever is seen is obvious and is a reflection of an actual thing. It’s like a reflection in a mirror that forms a false image of an object. Basic Physics tells us that an image is formed when two or more light rays meet. The image is actually inverted when perceived, which is then processed by the brain to show the correct orientation.

Science – A logical Approach

(a)Discovery is Not New

Generally, people refer to science with a rather taunting cursive approach. For them, science is not ultimate and can’t explain everything. Well, that is true but not wholly. Science is systematic knowledge about anything that satisfactorily explains the discussed topic. Logic, buttressed by experimental facts helps reach a conclusive fact. There are, nevertheless, things that stay unexplainable. It is not that science claims to be ultimate, but it is a long process of deciphering the intricate language of Nature. It is like searching a needle in a heap of hay, which, when explored meticulously, divulges many intriguing facts. Many scientific explorations are accidental. While experimenting with the nature of the magnetic moment in an electric field, frustrated by the null outcome, Michel Faraday threw the magnet. The magnet landed in the coil with speed, causing the deflection of the meter. He was amazed and, taking cues, performed various experiments and propounded his theory. Similarly, Wilhelm. C. Rรถntgen, a German physicist, accidentally discovered an X-ray that revolutionized the medical field. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery in 1901.

(B)Life and Beyond

Not only in the physical world but also in the field of the natural world, accidental discoveries are frequent. One of the important ones was the mesmerizing world of “Cell” that was seen by Robert Hooke under a microscope for the first time in 1665. He published his observations in a book “Micrographia”. The point is that things exist in the physical world and are waiting to be decoded and understood. Nature divulges only the amount it thinks fit and is known to us, the lesser mortals. Human beings are still far away from the world of death and “Life-after-death”. What is written or said about it is an imaginary account based on logic and reasoning, not an absolute truth that can be claimed as ultimate. It is like moon explorations. Until the moon was explored and the man put his foot impression on the moon, there used to be many rosy stories about its beauty and romanticism.

A Pavonine Soap Bubble

In short, it can be said that what we have as life is momentary. It’s like a pavonine soap bubble with a concise span that can burst at any time and volatilise in space. It has no scope for repeating itself. One has to accept the bare facts and try to adjust properly. Repeating any moment is a mental luxury which human beings love to dream or talk about and float aimlessly in the vast sea of life. Saying that I would like to re-live my childhood days is nothing more than a utopia that leads to exasperation. Thus, it is crucial to adopt a rational approach to life rather than indulging in a utopian approach similar to daydreaming. Having a simplified view and pragmatic outlook, one can have a more pleasurable life rather than be entangled in the convolutions.
