Nature's Narrative

Telling the story of our planet

One and only entity that governs the whole universe is Nature. Some have personified Nature as Almighty who is omnipotent and omnipresent. I endearingly prefer to call Mother Nature who is caring and benevolent. She takes care of and nourishes us all.

As a member of the great family, we must respect and care for every element of Mother Nature. Felling trees causes habitat destruction, ultimately leading to a big and irrevocable destruction. It needs to be managed scientifically to keep a harmonious equilibrium.

Here comes the LiFE, which is Lifestyle for Environment.

I endeavour to create impactful, quality writing pieces to instigate the thought process. It is how I want to contribute my bit to the social and environmental cause.

Come, embark on the journey with me. You will enjoy it, I am sure.

Exploring theConcept of Newness

What could you try for the first time?

“Try something new! Try it now.” This proposition is intriguing and challenging, yet before proceeding, should we not contemplate the nature of what is considered ‘new’?

Things that are old or new are our perceptions. Isn’t it? What we perceive is the outcome of a process conducted by the mind. It goes beyond saying that the mind is the most complex organ in the body. The human mind tops all and is at the pinnacle of the animal world. So, how it perceives a thing or process in turn goes through a series of highly complicated chain of biochemical reactions. In the light of it, newness is subjective. The factual thing is that the thing is here.

Labelling an idea as ‘new’ and proclaiming that it will revolutionize the world is concurrent. Yet, upon closer examination, it becomes clear that the idea was in use during ancient times. The novelty lies in the fact that those who are unaware consider it a new idea.

Fashion is the embodiment of imagination. Observing fashion trends reveals this truth. The dress code from the sixties bears resemblance to today’s styles. A fashion becomes a trend when it gains widespread adoption. It evolves with subtle variations. Some variations are embraced by the public, others are not, thus perpetuating the cycle of trends. Those who innovate ‘new’ styles do it keeping in mind past trends. Yet, this innovation maintains a sense of familiarity, which is why a feeling of recognition often accompanies fashion. This is akin to reading a classic; variations in dialect, language, and words offer just enough difference to draw comparisons with the modern, providing a sense of novelty.

A shift in perception can be invigorating and refreshing. This wish for change is a universal trait. Nature itself is in a constant state of flux, with the changing seasons providing diverse appearances and breaking the monotony. The sameness of our surroundings and routines can lead to dullness and lethargy. Thus, the impulse for change drives alterations in the colour, pattern, and texture of our walls, furniture, tapestries, crockery, cuisine, and even our techniques of operation. The list is extensive. To rekindle the spark in relationships, many individuals use creative tactics, like recreating cherished memories from their marriage. As attitudes evolve, so does the approach to life, and with time and maturity, our life’s perceptions transform as well.

Changes bring challenges, but they serve a beneficial purpose. Challenges shape our approach to handling situations. In a world that’s constantly evolving, the nature of challenges changes as well. This diversity forces us to prepare for various scenarios. This adaptability is clear in the rapidly changing lifestyles of people across all demographics. Even those who value stability and find it difficult to adapt are now embracing change. The surge in computer technology and digital financial transactions has simplified life for many, including the elderly, who were initially hesitant to adopt new ways of payment like UPI and internet banking for quick and efficient money transfers. g money across the world.

People have evolved in their thinking and behaviour, which is a natural progression. Changes in hobbies, habits, and culture are essential. Thus, experimenting with “new” things is crucial. One may start with one interest and find themselves captivated by something entirely different. Overwhelming circumstances and continuous failures can lead to discouragement and ultimately, surrender. The notion of trying something for the ‘first time’ is somewhat misleading, as the activity has always existed; it is the individual who was unaware and is experiencing it for the first time.

I aspire to undertake something meaningful. Besides photography, writing has always been a passion of mine. I aim to write in-depth about a variety of subjects to stimulate my mind and direct my thoughts.
