What brands do you associate with?
People tend to show their best and so are the brands. Branding is something that conveys a broad outline of an individual, an association of individuals or a materialistic thing. Will it be worth it to brand oneself? Well, there be answers for or against it.
If one says that s/he follows honesty, integrity, simplicity, and straightforwardness as a brand, s/he is not honest to one’s conscience. Why? The simple reason is that absolute is simply impossible. Hence, claiming to be honest is something that is a mix of a pinch of dishonesty. So, how can one vouch for one’s honesty if one is not honest with oneself?
Endeavour, try, or persistence are the terms that can well define a brand, but in the temporal world, people would discard such honesty. It is considered dubious and hence not worth it. People tend to like pure idealism which is impractical. Clinging to a brand, therefore, is a misnomer and a way of deceiving ourselves.
However, there are exceptions too. A brand is developed with persistent arduous work, crossing hurdles and facing challenges. Each new challenge is a lesson that indoctrinates new experiences. Learning with experiences, one can rise the ladder of success. People believe in consistency and sticking to ideology. It appeals to them who become a loyal follower of the brand.
Branding needs to be viewed in the light of practicality and ease of adoption and use.
